......It's our choice
My young granddaughter came to me after a grammar school session one day. She said, “Papaw can I say a bad word?” I asked, “Why do you need to say a bad word?” She answered, “Everywhere I turned today a girl at school upset me.” I asked my granddaughter, “Can you whisper the word to me?" Then, we can discuss why you should not use that word.” She said, “Jessica is a DOOFACHIE FACE!” Before I could answer, she continued; “but, I must love her because Jesus said I must, and I told Jessica I love her.” All I needed to tell my granddaughter was, “You made the right choice.”
Do you have any Doofachie faces in your life? Why don’t you call today and tell them you love them? Remember, Jesus commanded you to love everybody. Maybe the reason they are Doofachie faces is they are starved for a loving thought.
“Make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, and He commanded you to forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.” Colossians 3:13-14
